This book is a snapshot of a way of life which has sadly been destroyed. Even though [the story] takes place in the past, it still rings true today, no matter where you live.
JP, like most children (and adults), is a young boy struggling to make sense of life. It is fascinating to live through his ‘confusion’ and see him gradually grow and evolve.

I really enjoyed your book. It brought back good memories of my growing up in Rhodesia/ Zimbabwe with familiar sites and phrases. I also enjoyed the gentle pace of the book, bringing back a more mellow time of life and I thought the story was beautifully resolved. Karen W.
